Virginia Tech vs. William & Mary, September 22, 2007

Another day trip to Blacksburg. This was going to be a "sandwich" game, as it was the 2nd game in a string of three straight at home, but it was definitely the most unappetizing of the bunch. Usually we get the I-AA cupcakes in the first game of the season; as game 4, it's a bit boring. But being true Hokies we made the trip, wearing our orange and maroon proudly. After a quick trip to the Tech Bookstore to stock up on some Hokie gear and gifts, we hit Lot 16.
We decided not to bring the grille again this week, and brought sandwiches, cheesey poofs, and some cookies. Nothing too exciting, which goes along with the game we were about to play.

The game featured a flyover of a C-17 Cargo plane. It got to Blacksburg about 45 minutes early, as we saw it during the entire pre-game, circling about 20 miles from campus.

We left with over 9 minutes left in the game, and I'm shocked we lasted that long. A really boring game, a blow-out, and VT didn't play that well at all. This was the final score, even though there was more than half the 4th quarter still to play. Yeah, I think we made the right decision. Next week--the start the ACC play when we're back in Blacksburg for North Carolina.
